This video game is based on the High School Musical film released in 2008 which shares the same name. There are 11 songs that the player can dance to, playing as Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Taylor or Chad, all from the movie. The game is essentially a rhythm-based dance game which uses the touch-screen to allow the players to match the beats shown on the top screen. There are also other activities and mini-games mixed in.
